- Monroe City Congregational Mission Grants
Our congregation in Monroe City closed with a long legacy of work in the Knox County area. The end of its history, like earlier periods, was unusual in that when the church ceased, the mission of the church was not over at all. A church ministry called the Lord's Warehouse remained and was chartered as a stand-alone corporation. It lives as a testimony to a congregation which put mission ahead of everything else.
Some funds remained and were dedicated to assisting other congregations who want to support or create significant ministry to their own communities. These funds are about ministry to the needs of the congregation's neighborhood. Consult the council, the Stated Clerk or the Presbytery Executive for application procedures.
