August 12-14, 2011 – The Inaugural Pyoca Family Camp

Come enjoy a weekend of relaxing family fun! Build the perfect weekend for you and your family. Take your pick of recreational activities or spend some peaceful time lost in a good book, the choice is yours!
Modern, accessible, adult-friendly accommodations and good food are sure to make the weekend a hit for everyone. Each family housed in their own room (sleeps 6), with attached bath.
Activity options include: fishing, hiking, swimming, boating, the climbing wall, crafts, play field games, volleyball, quiet time along the labyrinth, and wagon rides.

We’re looking ahead to a great summer! Our theme is, “GOT SPIRIT? – Finding God in the Everyday.” We’ll be spending time exploring scripture about ways to connect with God in the everyday, learning more about ourselves, and finding ways to connect with God post camp.

Sr. High 2010 Winter Retreat

Pyoca Camp and Conference Center invites you to:
the annual Senior High Winter Retreat: Dec. 28- 30, 2010.

Come for three days of reflection, reconnection and FUN!

Experience Pyoca in the winter at the annual Sr. High Retreat. Take time to enjoy the beauty of nature and the joy of great friendships as well as reflect on the many ways God can be a very real part of our everyday lives.

What should you bring?
Bedroll, Pillow, Towels, Bible, Journal and Pen.
If we have four inches of ice on the lake, bring boots for BROOMBALL!!!!!!

Come be part of this wonderful event led by Mandy Ernest with help from many of last year’s staff.

The retreat begins at 4 Pm Dec 28th and goes to noon on Dec 30th.
If you need to be a bit early or late due to transportation don’t worry, please contact Ingrid to make arrangements.

Third Thursdays at Camp PYOCA

Here’s your opportunity to spend some great time at Pyoca. We’re going meet monthly to work on significant projects!

We’re looking for people who have time on their hands or flexible schedules to become supporters of Pyoca and have a great time in the process!

Please contact Rich Swartwood if you are able to assist! We will have projects for all abilities!

LUNCH is provided as is all tools and supplies—just come and be prepared to have fun!

Third Thursdays take place on: Sept16, Oct 21, Nov 18, Dec 16

Upcoming Projects for this fall:
• Paint the interior of the cabins
• Split wood
• Trim replaced in the Lodge kitchen
• Replace beverage counter in the Lodge
• Wrap columns in the basement of the Lodge with Oak lumber
• Finish the canteen in the Lodge
• Re-cane porch chairs of the Lodge
• Sew cushions for sofas
• Office work as needed
