Dear Members and Friends of the Presbytery of Ohio Valley,

Many thanks to all of you for your continued offers of assistance in the aftermath of the tornados of March 2. Within twenty-four hours of the tornados, the Presbytery Mission Council established a fund dedicated for tornado relief in southern Indiana.

We received a grant of $10,000 from Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and we have moved monies from our flood relief fund (created after the 2009 storms). Individuals and congregations have made donations as well. We continue to be in need of funds for the long term recovery efforts, both for our own members whose homes were lost, and for their neighbors throughout the affected areas.

There are two ways to donate:
1. Online Donations: (Web viewers Click Here) This is being managed by the Presbyterian Foundation, whose offices are in Jeffersonville. Moneies donated here will be sent directly to the presbytery.
The link for the page can also be found on the POV homepage - www.povpc.org.

2. Mail-in donations: The Presbytery has set up an account to receive monetary donations. All checks need to be clearly labeled (either in the memo line or in accompanying documentation) for Tornado Relief and mailed to:

Presbytery of Ohio Valley
P.O. Box 7003
Bloomington, IN 47407

We appreciate your gifts and your prayers.

In life and in death, and in all the circumstances of life, we belong to God. And we belong to each other. Thanks be to God for these blessed connections.

Peace and all good,

Susan
